Just a short post that Matt wrote about our lovely outing yesterday. Such a great day!
We joined our buds Roger and Sam for an outing today to Rolandseck Wildpark and Bad Honnef. The first leg featured some of everyone’s favorites including goats, wild swine, highland cattle, bighorn sheep & a playground complete with a trampoline and a digger.
After that, we snagged some excellent fall sunshine on the East Bank of the Rhine in Bad Honnef – a town about 30 min S of Bonn. We spent a couple hours at the park and playground with the adults enjoying a draft (so creamy!) Paulaner Hefeweizen. Then, we followed up all that exertion with an early dinner on the terrace at Burgermeisterei where we enjoyed some sizable and juicy American-style burgers and fries.
All in all a very successful outing as you can probably tell from the handsome photo which Roger was nice enough to take!
